1. What is the European Venture Market community?
   

   This is the online meeting point for anyone involved in venture capitalism and the startup scene across Europe! We seek to actively build a bridge across Europe to gather startups, investors and service providers in one place. All of our members have participated or have the chance to participate in one of our live events in Berlin, Germany!

   Once you have registered, you will get access to many company presentations in video format and be able to have your own posted on your profile. You will also be able to view various company and investor profiles, network with the other users and sign up for our upcoming events. Not only can you use this as a social tool to meet professionals of interest to you, but you can also find the right investment opportunity for you. Launching on in September 2009, you will already be able to discover 70 companies on our online network who joined us for our event in May 2009.

2. How does it work?
   

   Our members are strongly encouraged to communicate with each other and our community is there to promote interactivity across the European borders. The means of communication and promotion are:

3. Why should I join?
   

   You will benefit from a flexible and targeted profile, with access to videos, a unique service online. The platform will help you connect with the right companies fitting your needs.

   The European Venture Market is offered as a package. When you choose to join the European Venture Market community you receive a one year membership in the online network and one included participation at our yearly European Venture Market¹. Moreover, your profile will include a video pitch that will be filmed during one of the events by a professional film crew. Normally an expensive investment, this is a great opportunity for companies to showcase themselves online. Investors and Service Providers benefit from an access to all of these presentations, thus offering them with a great and comprehensive platform to build new business relationships, seek new investment opportunities and create a customer base.

4. How much does it cost?
   

   Included in the fee:

   • One year membership at the community
   • Video of your company pitch presentation filmed professionally for you
   • Attendance for two people to one of our European Venture Market live events

   The registration rates vary depending on which group you fit into:

   • Companies: €500
   • Investors: €1500
   • Service Providers: €1500
   • Visitor: You can choose to start by being a visitor of the community for free. You will get a reduced view of the other profiles and won’t have access to the video presentations. You will however be able to see our trailer and an example video pitch.
     
     
5. Why are there different rates and different types of memberships?
   
   A community that aims to be a problem solver for start-ups and investors as well as service providers, we understand the differences between each type of users. Start-ups have a tighter budget while investors and service providers, through this community, have great chances to benefit from all of the work companies have already done: presentation, business plan, investment requirements, etc.
   
   
6. Who is this community aimed at?
   

   The community is for companies looking to showcase themselves and needing investment opportunities. Investors and Services Providers greatly benefit from the network as they will be able to view all videos, interact and create a network in industries that interest them. This is also client building opportunity.

7. Why is it focused on companies and not on users?
   

   Unlike the majority of business and personal communities available on the ever expanding World Wide Web, we believe that our community should represent corporations and not individuals.

   The information that you fill in is very targeted at creating a matchmaking opportunity online, allowing for entrepreneurs and investors to better find common points prior to connecting.

8. How do I get my video presentation on my profile?
   

   We have a professional film crew at every European Venture Market conference. They will film each company’s presentation, as well as the key note speeches, and then edit the clips. As soon as these are ready, we will post them directly into the video section of your profile and send you an email notification. The keynote speeches will be available in a separate page of the community.

9. Will you give away my personal information?
   

   You choose to show as much or as little personal information on your profile as you want. at, we keep all other information that you enter confidential.

   Should we be contacted by a party of interest for you, we will let you know and you can then give us permission to share your contact details.
   

10. What if I forget my password?
    

    Simply click on “forgot my login” where you usually sign in. You will need to fill in your email address and be sent a new password. If you have any other issues please contact our system administrator.
